Happy Thanksgiving & Holiday Streaking!

First and foremost, HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you all!!!  I know many of you ran Turkey Trots this morning, and hope you are now enjoying this special day full of food, football & family!

I'm currently at my brother Kevin's place & rudely typing this blog while everyone else is sitting around Kev's big screen noshing on appetizers, watching football, and catching up.  For that reason, this post will be brief.

I have to admit, I've been feeling a little guilty about not posting my Philly Marathon follow-up yet,  but hopefully I'll have some time to sit down and do that this weekend.  After all, my next marathon is quickly approaching.  I'll be heading to Rehoboth Beach next weekend to conquer 26.2 in another state -Delaware.

I've also been struggling with getting my runs in consistently, and found myself thinking about my brother Kevin this morning - who has run at least 1.5 miles almost 1900 days consecutively.  He is the King of Consistency - just a little streak going!  He's recently added to his streak a commitment to run at least one 10+ miler per week.  I often read his blog: Running For 28 Years, and he's always been a big motivator for me both as a runner & a blogger.  SO...in Kevin's honor, I've decided to commit to the Runner's World Holiday Streak & YOU should join me!

What's a holiday streak?  It involves running a certain distance (in my case a minimum of one mile) every day from Thanksgiving to New Year's Day.  If you'd like to join me on this streak (C'mon everyone's doing it) you can read the detail's here : Runner's World Holiday Streak FAQ's

So far - I'm one for one (a quick 2.5 miler around my neighborhood) & the streak has come to life!
